A lawyer's primary obligation is to zealously advocate for his client. However, after working in a few "prominent" law firms, Mr. Hafter became increasingly frustrated with the legal system. Whose interests does a firm really have in mind when they are more concerned with charging a client 25 cents per copy then ensuring they produce quality materials necessary for their representation?  How can an attorney truly be an advocate for the client when each side of the attorney-client relationship has different fundamental goals (results vs. the billable hour)?  In fact, under this model, attorneys are incentivized to draw out the resolution of many matters.

In response to this dilemma, Mr. Hafter sought to break the mold.  By instituting Value-Based billing, we have an incentive to provide efficient legal services.  It is our belief that by abolishing the billable hour in these types of matters, our attorneys will truly be your advocate.
